Building a MUA Business

Service Description

As important as being able to do makeup to be a Makeup Artist is, the business aspect of being a Makeup Artist is also key! In this one-to-one session, I will teach you everything I have had to figure out on my own and I will go over the business side of becoming a Makeup Artist. This will include: -Building your Makeup Kit -Building your Clientele -How to brand/market yourself and your services online -How to create your own Contracts/Consent Forms -How to register your Business -How to deal with Clientele in a professional manner -Great Customer Service skills -How to use your smartphone to touch up photo's, create your own logo, create business cards, price lists, and other marketing materials (what apps to use, where to print, etc.) *Bring a notepad and pen/laptop with you to take notes (optional). Please note that this lesson is specifically for Certified Makeup Artists ONLY who want to grow and/or start their brand/business. Proof of Certification from an accredited institution will be required. These are only lessons to help you improve and perfect your craft and receive tips. If you are experiencing any signs or symptoms of illness, please cancel and/or reschedule your appointment for a later date when you are feeling 100% well again. Glō Face+Body Bar holds the right to refuse service to sick clients to protect ourselves, our space, and our clients. You will be required to sanitize your hands upon entrance. If you’d like to wear a mask during your appointment, please bring your own. If your deposit has not been paid online, a deposit of $20.00 for Makeup Services (excl. Single Features) and $50.00 for Body Contouring Services is to be paid via E-transfer to If a deposit is not paid within 24 hours of your booking, your appointment will be cancelled. All deposits and services are non-refundable & non-transferable. Please arrive on-time otherwise there is a late fee of $10.00 for anything over 10 minutes. If you are over 15 minutes late, your appointment will have to be cancelled/rescheduled if we have back-to-back bookings. Remaining payments can be made on the day of your appointment in person via Cash, Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Debit, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. If you are paying with any method other than Cash, a Processing Fee will be applied to your total. Only Clients being serviced are allowed to attend appointments. Please refrain from bringing friends or family members with you. No-show's without notice will not be served in the future. *We have a small hypoallergenic dog. Please let us know if you have an allergy to dogs.
