"How long will my appointment take?"
Depending on the look you'd like, it could take anywhere between 45 min. to 1.5 hours to complete the desired makeup look.
"Is it better to get my hair done before or after my makeup?"
That is completely up to you. We can work around your hair if you choose to get it done before your makeup.
"Will my makeup last all day?"
Yes, your makeup will absolutely last all day. We apply products designed for your skin type for a long-lasting application.
"Can I bring my own eyelashes?"
You can definitely bring your own eyelashes however, they must be a brand new never worn pair and there will be a $5 service charge for us to apply them.
"If I bring my own foundation, will it be cheaper?"
No, it will not be cheaper if you bring your own foundation. You are paying for our expertise and knowledge of makeup as well as the service. Very little of the price goes towards use of product. 9/10 when a Client has brought their own foundation, it has been the wrong shade and we end up using our own foundation anyway.
"Which brands do you use?"
We use only the highest quality makeup brands that we trust. Our kit is made up of many different makeup brands like Anastasia Beverly Hills, Make Up For Ever, Cover FX, Too Faced, Tarte, M.A.C., etc. However, we do not believe that the brand of makeup results in a better makeup application. It's all about technique.
"I have eyelash extensions. Can I still wear eye makeup?"
You can still wear eye makeup with eyelash extensions. We only use oil-free products around the eyes of Clients with eyelash extensions to prevent ruining them. Although we will try our best, we can not guarantee that eye shadow will not fall out on to your eyelash extensions. Be sure to use oil-free makeup remover when removing your makeup.
"I have sensitive skin. Will makeup make me break out?"
Breakouts happen when your skin is clogged and congested. We can not guarantee that your skin will not breakout. We always prep the skin before the makeup application to prevent breakouts. We use the best of the best products to ensure that your skin is safe and happy. It is your responsibility to remove your makeup at the end of the day. The correct removal will ensure that your skin is squeaky clean. See our Aftercare tips on how to properly remove your makeup. If you need some extra help, you can always book a Basic Cleansing Facial with us.
"What is Body Contouring?"
Body Contouring is an umbrella term for many different services. It is 100% non-invasive (no needles, no knives, no downtime). Body Contouring uses advanced technology to break down, melt, and liquefy stubborn fat cells and release the toxins from your body via your lymphatic system (sweat and urine).
"Who is the ideal candidate for Body Contouring?"
The ideal candidate is someone who tries to maintain a healthy lifestyle, is within a healthy BMI, has no health complications, or just wants to maintain their figure.
"Will Body Contouring make me lose weight?"
Body Contouring is not a weight loss program. Body Contouring is designed to make your body do things it does naturally but just in a faster and more advanced way. It is very important to maintain a healthy lifestyle through diet, exercise and water intake. These 3 things work hand-in-hand with Body Contouring to give you optimal results in as little sessions as possible.
"How many sessions will I need?"
Results vary from Client to Client depending on the Clients metabolism, lifestyle and consistency. We always recommend an estimate number of sessions but you could need more or less sessions than what we suggest depending on how fast your body works to release the toxins as well as how hard you work to maintain the results. We usually recommend 8-12 sessions for optimal results. Come by for a FREE Consultation to see how many sessions we recommend for you.
"Are the results permanent?"
During the treatments, we kill off the fat cells leading to permanent results. But just because we have killed off the old fat cells, it doesn't mean that new fat cells can't grow in the same area if you don't maintain a healthy lifestyle.
"How often do I have to come for my sessions?"
Sessions should be completed on a weekly basis. 1 session a week is the minimum, 2 sessions a week is ideal. Consistency is key with Body Contouring. You can not disappear for a month in between sessions and expect the same results. It will not happen. Once all of your sessions are complete, it's important to keep up with your results by coming back for Maintenance Sessions. Maintenance Sessions should ideally occur once every 2 weeks or at least once a month at minimum.
"How much time should I wait in between my sessions?"
Depending on the treatment used, we recommend waiting 24-72 hours in between sessions.
"When will I see results?"
Again, Client results vary from person to person. We've had Clients see results after their first session and we've had Clients who don't see results until a few sessions in. We take measurements and/or before and after pictures at the end of each session and send them to you in a side-by-side collage to help you keep track of your progress. It's hard to see the small day-to-day changes in your own body so we use these pictures to show you that changes really are happening..and fast!
"What are acrylic nails?"
Acrylic nails are a combination of a liquid monomer and powder polymer, which when combined, air dry to create a rock hard layer over the natural nail and tend to last longer than other types of nails.
"Do you do refills?"
Yes, we do refills but only over our own work. All Client's first appointments with us must be a brand new full set. Clients must come with no previous acrylic or gel nails on.
"What nail types do you offer?"
We offer both regular and colored acrylic and shellac/gel Polish only at the moment. We do not currently offer Nail Forms, Bio Gel, UV Gel or Silk Nails.
"Can I bring my own polish?"
You can definitely bring your own polish for us to apply on your nails but it must be a shellac/gel polish that can be cured under UV light.
"How long do acrylic nails last for?"
Acrylic nails can last up to 2 weeks before requiring a refill.
"Do acrylic nails damage your natural nails?"
Acrylics aren't anymore damaging than other forms of fake nails as long as they're properly taken care of. That includes getting them regularly filled, keeping them clean and dry and getting them properly removed - all of which prevent bacteria from getting into the nails and causing infections.
"What is shellac/gel polish?"
Shellac/Gel polish is a liquid polish that can be applied to the natural nail or acrylic nails and is cured under UV light. Gel nail polish lasts much better and longer than traditional nail polish.
"How do I remove my acrylic nails?"
If you'd like to have your acrylic nails removed safely, please come by to see us to avoid any damage to your natural nail beds. If you'd like to remove them yourself at home, first cut off the tips of the acrylic nails. Then, fill up a medium to large sized bowl with 100% Acetone liquid (make sure your bowl is big enough to fit both hands in to). Insert both hands in to the acetone and soak your nails for up to 30-40 minutes or until the acrylic is soft enough to remove gently. Once all acrylic is removed, wash your hands with soap and warm water. Prep nails with a nail hardener/strengthener and cuticle oil.
"What type of wax do you use?"
We use both Hard and Soft Wax.
"What is the difference between Hard and Soft Wax?"
Soft Wax is more common. The wax is applied and pulled off using a strip. Soft Wax can pull on the skin which can lead to a more painful experience for some.
Hard Wax (also known as Stripless Wax) is more modern and is quickly gaining popularity among Wax Technicians. Hard Wax is applied to the skin and quickly dries down. Then the wax is pulled off without the use of a strip, gripping the hair only and leading to a less painful experience.
"Does waxing hurt?"
For most people, yes, waxing hurts depending on the area but it is not unbearable. We try to make your experience as relaxing and comfortable as possible while you are getting waxed. For Women, we recommend not getting waxed a right before or after your menstrual cycle because you tend to be more sensitive around that time which can mean a more painful waxing experience. We also recommend not shaving in between waxes to prevent thicker hairs from growing in also creating a more painful waxing experience during your next wax. We'll schedule your next wax during your appointment so that you don't even have to think about shaving in between. It's important to remember that waxing is a quick pain and doesn't last long at all. You can do it, we believe in you!
"I'm prone to ingrown hairs. How can I prevent this?"
To prevent ingrown hairs, we recommend exfoliating the waxed area 2-3 times a week to get rid of dead and dry skin so that the hair can grow in properly with no interference. See our Aftercare tips on how to take care of your skin after your wax.
HENNA EYEBROW TINTING
"What is Henna Eyebrow Tinting?"
Henna Eyebrow Tinting is an all-natural way of tinting your eyebrows. Henna is derived from a plant and is much safer than the traditional Eyebrow Tints that dye your hair. Henna Eyebrow Tinting also lasts longer than traditional Brow Tinting.
"How long will the tint last on my eyebrows?"
Henna can last up to 2 weeks on the skin and up to 6 weeks on the hair. Client results very from person to person depending on the Clients skin type and lifestyle. Henna will last longer on someone with a normal skin type who doesn't sweat on the forehead versus someone who has an oily skin type and works out often leading to more forehead sweat.
"I have sensitive skin. Can I get a facial?"
Yes, you can get a facial. We tailor the products used during our facials specifically to the needs of each Client. Our Cleansing Facials are for everybody.
"Will I be a Certified Makeup Artist like you after your lessons?"

Whether you're learning how to do makeup on yourself or are already certified but need to brush up on or improve your technique, these lessons will be beneficial for you.
